Welcome to Ancient Civilization! A trip back in time......
Today you are going to plan a vacation package to the Ancient World! You will need to take your tourists on an historic journey through time and space to the most famous structures/landforms in one of the five ancient civilizations of your choice!
There are many things to plan, so let’s get started:

- You will need to map out your tour! Please create a map to of your civilization and “hand draw” in the route your tour will take. The entire map must be colorful and easy to read so your patrons can see where they will be going! You will need to leave an entire section of your brochure blank to accomplish this requirement.
- You will also need an itinerary for your group. Remember, your customers need to know where they are going day to day, what they will be seeing, and where they will be staying, add lot’s of detail! The minimum stay for this vacation is 3 days. Therefore, your customers need to be busy sightseeing at all times!
- You must have a “catchy” name for your Travel Company. Think of something to do with the ancient sites and your name.
- All of the above requirements will be displayed on a Google Doc brochure template of your choice!
- If you do not have a computer at your house, you must use class time wisely and complete your brochure in school. You may check books out at the school library to do additional research. These needs to be done at a local library or at your home.
Museum Artifact
Requirements:
A museum artifact should be a model of some part of a civilizations culture using materials you have at home. Ideas could be a piece of jewelry, a sculpture, a piece of art such as a scroll, dish-wear, a mask, a miniature version of a building, a model of some type. It can be anything you choose that represents part of the culture you are researching!

- A typed written piece explaining what the artifact is, what culture it belonged to, which characteristics of the civilization it is representing, and what it was used for. This should be about 3 paragraphs long.
- A display of the finished piece for the classroom. This artifact needs to be museum worthy! Meaning it shows quality work, detail, and careful planning!
People Report
Requirements:
A people report is where you select a person or figure important to Ancient Civilizations to represent. You will address their religions, traditions, economy, government, and important things about them. You will give a speech pretending to be this person to tell the class about them and their significance.

- Be about 5 minutes long.
- Have a clear topic and include important content about this individual that is fact based.
- An outline of what you will be covering.
- Have note cards to help you partake, remember your outline, and to turn in.
- And a successful delivery. This means you have practiced your speech in order to be able to make eye contact, have good posture, and look professional!
