Geography
The Nile River is the longest river in the world. The Nile River flows through Egypt, and into the Mediterranean sea. This divided Ancient Egypt into two regions, Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt. Most of Egypt is desert, but along the Nile River the soil is rich and good for growing crops. With the Mediterranean Sea to the north, The Red Sea to the East, and deserts surrounding, Ancient Egyptian civilization was isolated and protected from invaders.

The rich wore jewelry made of gold and silver, while the poorer people used copper. Both men and women also wore makeup. The most iconic is the eye paint. Unlike the Ancient Chinese, woman could hold important jobs in society, one woman even became one of Egypt's most powerful Pharaohs.

Technology
Because Ancient Egyptians were one of the very first civilizations, their inventions and technology had an impact on many civilizations to come. Their technology included the ability to build large construction such as the pyramids and palaces, simple machines such as ramps and levers, and complex systems of government and religion. They had a good understanding of mathematics, such as geometry, to build. And also invented writing in hieroglyphics to keep records. They came up with the 365 day calendar we still use today.
